Need a good product/tip to get rid of mould around the bath

Tried most of the normal products from B&Q, Homebase etc.. but so far no luck. Anyone got any tips, advice or know of a really good product that will shift it. Cheers Rockee

  • Have you tried bleach and an old tooth brush, works on mine. Wear old clothes and try not to get it in you face, goggles might be a good idea too.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I use dettox but it is expensive. If there are any other cheaper ways I'd like to know too. The bleach thing doesnt work on mine either I think when its in the grout n silicone n things its harder to get rid of
    Thanx

I've found the Dettox mould and mildew remover is the best you can get.
Here I go again on my own....

Anything sold in any supermarket can only be so chemically powerful due to the restrictions on what they are allowed to sell.

Professional products will be available from tile distributores/building merchants.

HG Mould Spray for your mould problems or HG Blue for limescale problems are far more effective that any regualr products.

The only problem I've found with some of the cleaning agents like Dettox Mould & Mildew Remover is that they eventually rot the silicon itself.

Mmm I wondered if that could happen, I don't use it too much about once or twice a year. I never rinse it off either if I do around window frames or corners of walls where theres not much air circulation. I just thought best not to as the effect may last longer

Many thanks to everyone who gave tips etc.. This seems to be a regular thread, so my apologies for repeating same old question.
