Hello Everyone! Hope youre having a good start to the weekend!
Ok my dilemma is this -

I need to estimate the cost of gas, electric and water, for one person living in a one bedroom flat in the yorkshire region.

Per Month cost if possible.

Do we have anyone who knows or could have a rough guess for the costing? Please help!

Appreciate it peoples

Assuming you have gas central heating then I'd guess 2,000Kwh Electricity and 10,000Kwh gas, per annum. Possibly a little less.
What you pay for it depends on the tariff you are on.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Well I'm in the North. Mine's not a flat but a 3 bed semi and for all three combined I pay about £82 a month on DD.

£42 for gas (BG and gas CH)
(summer bills around £75 a qtr, winter bills £175)

    £28 for elec (NPower)
(washing machine/dryer 3 times wkly, no dishwasher, elec oven but never cook :-p)

£12 for water (on a water meter)
(my old 2 bed flat wasn't on a meter and I paid double then on a set annual charge to what I pay now I'm on a meter)
  • your gas and electricity would be less than £50 a month based on an average user in a 1 bedroom flat
    Overdrafts- £2150.00
    Credit cards - £5898.58
Other- (inc rent, utilities, previous employer- £1419.26
    TOTAL- £9467.84

I live in a two bed flat (just to give you some perspective) and my electricity is £25 per month (I pay variable direct debits to ensure that I pay what I owe) and gas would work out at £30 per month, so I'd agree with leedsforever
