Re: CCJ

Hi

Looking for some advice as feel like I'm drowning...
I'm Currently in a DMP with CCCS but as this is set to last at least 19 years I have applied for an IVA via CCCS.
I have not heard anything yet re the IVA but today received county court papers re my large loan debt.
CCCS just told me what to put on the form and send this back.
I am anxious that I will be asked to pay more than I am doing on the DMP and worried about my house etc, as the loan company is also my mortgage provider.
The loan is unsecured.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Do be very, very, very, very, very careful about entering into an IVA, take a look at board guide “fermi” signature, tbh, an IVA should be your very, very last resort, you have many options open to you prior to entering into an IVA.

It's very easy to make the “quickest” decision when drowning in debt, however, the “quickest” decision is not always the best

I would still advise you to consider all your options, seek as much independent advice as possible, only then will you know if an IVA is applicable for you.

Don't take the word of CCCS, or any other DMP agent ;)

I'm not trying to dissuade you from an IVA, but just want you to check one is applicable to you.

IVA's only apply to a very, very small % of people, do confirm you are within the small %

I appreciate your advice, I just want to see light at the end of the tunnel and have had conflicting advice.
I maybe naively thought that CCCS would help me with the best option for me.
Though TBH I'm not sure would be accepted with an IVA as the loan company is my largest creditor...
