Housing Benefit Salary Threshold

Hi guys,
Hubby and I currently get a small amount of council tax benefit and a bit of housing benefit and I was made redundant in September (whilst pregnant) and we now have a 11 week old.
However my husband is thinking about looking to "career progress" and of course look for a wage rise in any new job, however I'm concerned that if he takes any wage rise, this might take us over any threshold there might be for housing and council tax benefit.
Is there such a figure? I've had a look on the web but can't seem to find anything. If this does exist then any new job he might get with a wage rise, would need to take into account covering the benefits we currently get paid should we loose them. Otherwise it might just not be worth him getting a pay rise!
Can you help?
Sarah

There isnt' a threshold as each case is individually calculated.
However, for every £1 over what the government say you need, you would need to pay £0.65 towards your rent and £0.20 towards your own Ctax so you would always be 15 p better off.
If you go to your council's website, you should find a benefit calculator to work out what you would receive.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
