Hi WBA FAN
JSA is a weekly benefit payable fortnightly so the amount £50.95 is per week.
You have 3 waiting days to serve (the 1st 3 days of your claim are not payable) the remainder up to and including your last signing will be paid and forthnightly thereafter, 3 working days after signing.
Good Luck0 -
i sign on again monday and should get the money by thursday 3 working days right? i am just confused because it says from the 13th april 2010 which is tuesday job seekers will be 50.95 per week but i am sure it should be at least 100 as its been 3 weeks since my claim started so i should get the payments from then?0

the £50.95 is the weekly rate, if you think you are due 3weeks itll be around 3x £50.95,
it will always show the weekly rate on the letters though, the letter is generic really & doesnt show the exact payments you are due to receive.
you should ask your advisor when you sign on how much you are due to receive and when, theres not a lot you can do between now and then with it being weekend anyway

No the response you wil no doubt get is "I dont't know! you will have to wait and see"
Don't expect too much from the so called 'One Stop' service provided by JCP.
Also, just a tip, grit your teeth and smile sweetly just for the 3-4 minutes the time allocated the signing advisor has with each claimant as they can make your life hell at times if they are in a mood.
Also don't be late for your siging, even 5 minutes late could mean that you have a to make an appointment to return to sign, if your lucky it could be the same day, however more than likely it will be for the next day, thus making your payment later also.0 -
well i sign on again tomorrow so hoping it all goes well and that my money should be in by thursday but on the letter it says its from the 13th april 2010 which is tuesday so i dont have a clue when i will be paid could be 3 working days after tuesday :S0
