Good morning all, I'm Cake and I'm a MFW addict too - have several backups of my OP spreadsheet just in case of a laptop crash  I seem to have the obsession without the amazing results of you guys though:rotfl: Well done everyone
Today I'm resisting shopping at the airport by having my flight cancelled0 -
Hi I'm D-seven.. I used to be an addict until I paid off the mortgage in January this year
I miss the thrill of the chase of saving money here, there and everywhere. However, I have a new addiction... selling stuff on ebay! I've got rid of no end of stuff I thought I would never sell!
However I now have savings I can use for a new kitchen for my flat, go travelling and get a much lesser paid (and less stressful job) by the end of the year!
It's great to see how hard people on here are working to remove this millstone round their necks, so they can have a better quality of life.
Good luck addicts, you can do it!0 -

Hello all!
I'm a new mfw addict - I have s/sheets set up and keep playing with them every few days, trying out different scenarios. DH thinks I'm obsessed (I know I am!:rotfl:) I have a diary, too, although haven't written much yet...
We have 4 children, 2 at home, 2 at school. Having worked full time and then 3/4 time when eldest 2 were small, I am now enjoying being a SAHM. I would dearly love to pay our mortgage off in 6 years, ready for when our eldest may incur Uni fees! That will also tie in with the original repayment date of our first mortgage - 25 years taken in July 1991. I've only just realised that. That would be fabulous - hmm - that's focussed me a bit more.... what can I find to ebay......
greent
ps: well done to all the fabulous achievements on here - and to those who've only just started - like me. MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j0 -
I've decided i have to up the ante a little so have applied to be a mystery shopper with one company and been accepted, and also applied to do some exam marking. I won't earn a lot, but it will all be mine, and if i choose to pay it all to the mortgage i will. In reality though, i know our budget is lacking in planning for holidays, so i will probably put some aside for this as well.
I think it will do far more for my cause to earn some pennies rather than the constant trying to pinch them from various sources.
Both approaches together should mean more progress and achieving my targets.0 -
OK, I'm clearly a MFW addict because when I went to collect DD and neighbours DD from brownies tonight a car came hurtling across the road towards me without indicating or slowing.....
I was thinking :eek::eek: but then (when he managed to park his willy replacement somewhere near the pavement)....
Hmmm, well they would definately pay the mortgage off cause it's not too high but who would pick up the girls. Well how much would they pay for my crumpled body as it's worth c£30k per yr) and I'm only 31 (for another week- give me some slack!). BUT, who would bring the girls home? Oh no, it's alright, they'd phone (neighbour) or (someone) would walk them round butthey'd be wwaiting.
And so it continues!
I think that can fully make me obsessed!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
