7 day returns question.

Evening all. Just wanted to quickly check something.

Ordered a part (for car, from a business on eBay) on the 1st April. Arrived on the 3rd. Mechanic just told us that it wasnt correct, ive emailed the company today (9th) with no response (obviously not expecting immediate replies). Am thinking of just sending it back tomorrow (10th) recorded delivery.

Am I officially within the 7 days return here or am I on dodgy grounds here?

yep as long as you have explicitly stated you are returning the goods under the DSR's then your fine.

FYI your 7 days end on wednesday (not past) as the 7 days do not include weekends.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

It fact the seven days thingy is the time allowed for you to notify the seller.
(Its seven working days starting with the day after delivery).

You then have 30 days (I think) to get the goods back to the seller.

Also you have notified them in writing which has to be the case. Also under the DSR the seller does really has to refund you now, even before you have returned the item. Also check their lisiting, if it does not state that the buyer has to pay for return postage then the seller has to refund that postage as well. Tip...print a copy of the listing in case of any future issues.

Well they'll have a 30 day limit to do this actually.

Thanks for all the replies. Sent it back RD on saturday. It was delivered yesterday (12th). Havent received any reply to the two emails I've sent so far. I was thinking about sending another just to try and speed up the process. Is it correct that I may have to wait up to 30 days to get a refund?
