Full refund ,£199.98 but my purchase was made 5 mths ago .
This is not over yet ! i think there will be more , and these retailers will have more punch than us consumers , when it comes to dealing with a very dodgy manufacturer and there "optional update "

I would give it a go though peeps:p whoever the retailer is .

Phoned currys and they told me it wasn't there problem and I would have to ask Sony. I told them I bought it from currys so it was there problem and they refueaed to speak about it any more

I doubt that any of the major retailers will make it easy for anyone with a PS3 to get a satisfactory response now. They know that the issue has had a lot of publicity, and if word gets around that claims are succeeding, they potentially stand to lose a great deal of money.

It may be worthwhile applying a bit more pressure. You should be able to do this without any great cost by writing to Currys, advising them that you intend to take legal action against them if you do not get a satisfactory response from them.

Although I don't own a PS3, I hope that Sony are made to pay for this (via the retailers). IMO they should not be allowed to get away with retrospectively removing advertised features from their products.
