It is only the very stupid and/or the very Tory that can blame GB for the economy over the last 18months.
It was a GLOBAL catastrophe....not just a UK one.
It was a 'GLOBAL catastrophe' of the failure to regulate effectively. As regulation is done at the level of NATIONS, it is in fact a number of NATIONAL catastrophes. I ain't stupid, I ain't Tory. I hold GB responsible, because he failed to regulate in a very stupid and very Tory way.

Part of the problem is that it will always be a 2 horse race. The others can offer the world so could I if I win the election, but I am not going to win nor are the Libs, Greens UKIP or who ever.
Vince Cable is wasted where he is and would boost the vote if he moved sides, he did well on the 3 chancellor programme but he's not stupid he knows he will not be in the top job anytime soon so he has nothing to lose.

I will be voting for conservative, I want change and the only alternative party is the conservatives.

I will vote for them as they are the party, that rewards prosperity, if you do well, you will live well, lets encourage it, lets not encourage ... doleys... NEAT's who I know quite a lot of, who have never worked, and its never actually disadvantaged them. They have a house, they can call home, they have a car, they dont need to drive anywhere, they can take the kids to school, pick them up, play with them and stay up late without worrying about falling asleep at work the next day. THEY are the ones that welcomed the polish into the country while millions of locals chose not to work, as they HAVE that option.

I want a country, where working is as compulsory as it is necessary to live. No one should get a free ride, if you claim benefits, then you work for the government, in a helpful capacity, whether its cutting grass, painting fences, or planting trees, picking up rubbish, delivering leaflets, who cares.... as long as they work hard and realise there is better waiting for them out there.

I want change, which means not voting for labour. Scots with vote SNP, wales will vote for the welsh party... as far as I am concerned, Conservative is the way forward, and we need a change... I dont trust the scot brown running this country for a moment more, his place as chancellor, ended in misery and i wont be giving him the chance to mess up the prime ministers job too... as far as he already has.

Besides that Jacqui Smith is our labour representative... need I say more???

In an ideal situation, this has been argued for for as long as I can remember and there is always an excuse not to implement it, whoever was in charge.

I agree there is maybe reasons to not do it, but how can they have the right to weigh up the benefits of being in employment, against continuing to claim money... the system is wrong, and workers should be rewarded, if you go to work, worst case scenario is you should be better off... at all costs over people claiming benefits... without doubt. Even if it costs money with top up. Having a drain on our economy and a demotivated non worker is counter productive.
