Natwest no explaination for charges

Options
Hi
I have received my statement today from Nat West. Because I have been on long term sick, I have been using it for my bills, and have a £250 overdraft.
I noted today that they have charged me £20 in Feb for going over 7.17p annoying but I suppose correct. But then In March they have charged me £20 for going over again in Jan, and a £15 referal fee !!!!
I rung up and spoke to a guy who could not explain the second lot of charges and put me through to the department "thats deals with it and can refund it" he said you get charged the fee in the next month.
So when I spoke to the other dept, he said the charges where all for going over in Jan !!!! apparently I did not pay the £7.17 off in time and they had to pay a D/D for which they charged a referal fee.

I explained to him that I had been with the bank 34yrs, and up until the last yr my account had always been in at least £500 credit, he was very off hand and said nothing I can do.

Is there anything I can do, £50 is a hell of a lot to me, he was not intrested and said write to customer services.

I am so angry, when I was earning good money they constantly offered me loans mortageges now they want to rip me off of money I can not afford.
Please help im raging

Last year natwest changed the way they deal with charges so that they go out 21 days after your statement date. They are pre advised in advance.
The charging periods are statement date to statement date, ie say your statement is on the 1st of the month then 1st until the end of the month is the charging period and 21 days after the end of that period the charges within that period is charged to the account.
I go over my limit sometime in January and 21st of feb the charge goes out. If I haven't got sufficient funds in the account then a further charge is levied since I haven't covered the charge for Feb. Does that make sense?
If this is the first charge then I would ask them to refund one of them as a gesture of goodwill and your good standing as a customer.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
