Can anyone recommend a free (or very cheap) service to find my Dad? All I have to go by is his full name and the name of the road where his Mum and Dad possibly live (or used to live). So far I've tried 192.com and had a look on a few websites but they're all so expensive!! I'm 20 now and he left before I was born so I've never met him.
p.s. I've also texted Trisha so 'someone MAY call me back'

Hi Gem+Dave+Kaci
I recently read Nicky Campbell's autobiographical book "Blue Eyed Son" where he traced his biological family - he was adopted shortly after birth. He seemed to have about as much information as you, possibly less, but still managed it. He used a private detective, and he got the result back in a few days. Maybe that would save you a lot of fruitless searches down blind alleys.
I know your circumstances are very different, but I would recommend Nicky's book anyway - he deals with a lot of the angst in meeting biological family for the first time in adulthood, as he got a rather a few unpleasant and unforeseen surprises.
Congratulations on your success with your teddy bear campaign. That is a fabulous result, you should be very pleased with yourself.
