My fujitsu siemens laptop amilo pi 1505 will no longer charge when plugged into the mains. I think it may be a connection fault as you need to move the charger around lots at the connection before it occasionally starts to charge. This is the 3rd charger iv had for this laptop and seems to be working I think the issue is the connection from the laptop? Any ideas appreciated as I have no idea what is wrong. Thanks

I don't know that specific model, but in general the cause is a failure of the connector in the laptop - either the centre pin breaks or the soldered connections lift out of the motherboard.
The replacement part should be very cheap, but the labour required to get to it is not insignificant. Expect to pay £60-100 (or more if they don't want the work) at a computer shop.
DIY cost should be less than £3, but don't underestimate how difficult and time consuming it will be.0 -
I gave up on my FS Amilo after a year, it truly was a heap of junk. One of its many irritating habits was loose connection of some sort where the power cable went into the lappy, used to beep incessantly.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
