Does NRP rent get taken into account for CSA?

Actually the OP wasnt saying that they couldnt manage on it, the NRP in their case was refusing to pay at all, so they were just checking their entitlement

I think we are all agreed that there is good and bad on both sides but ultimately the CSA is there to impose the laibility and ensure that it is paid to the PWC. The issue with any system is that it can only work in black and white, it has no real variance for shades of grey which is why many NRP's and PWC's get caught up in the red tape. On these boards though, we dont get people coming and telling us how well it has worked or that they are paying more than they need to because they are content and do not require further help or input from anyone else.
I pay more than my 15% and not content but not angry about it, if the PWC runs to get a re-assesment they will be in for a shock, the original assesment was based on OT which I don't do now and we have not had a pay rise for several years, luckily the PWC doesn't smoke but does have a fetish for piercings and tattoos

I think £56 a week is more than ample when you add it to your CB, CTC and WTC.
Thats over £200 extra a month for your children, and now CM has been disregarded as income for nearly all benefits I really cannot see why people are complaining anymore? Ok it does suck when you might only get £5 off a NRP, but £56 is ample.
If you dont think its enough then maybe you should recalculate your own personal budget and see where you can make cuts so it all goes on your child.
Yes, I think £50 ish is a fair amount of CM....it's the NRP that thinks he should be paying a lot less than this.
If the powers at be decide that he should be paying more or less than this, then so be it.
Only time will tell what the CSA decide what a fair amount will be.Slimming world new starter 2/1/17

Whilst it is true that there are many PWCs out there that are greedy and have no thought for anyone other than themselves, let's not forget that there are many of us who are nothing like that.
My ex pays nothing towards the mortgage. I had to fight through the CSA for four years to get any monetary support (including the CSA taking him to court). He only rarely has the children overnight, and then he only gives me 24 hours notice. He favours one child over the other two. He sees the kids once a week, though, but never offers any additional help with them, despite one of them being severely disabled.
He has a new family, which is fair enough - his choice. I don't get a chance to go out to meet anyone, even if I wasn't too tired (our son needs substantial care overnight as well as during the day). I don't drink, smoke, or have any other expensive habits to support. My ex drinks, smokes and gambles.
There are, as others have said, problems with the CSA for both PWCs and NRPs, but many people on this board seem to tar all PWCs with the same brush.0 -
perhaps when all nrp's aren't labelled as CM dodging scumbags then everyones views would alter.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.
and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.0 -
i do love the sweeping comments on here.they generally turn into witches after they have been scorned or cant get their own way.
Pot kettle and black there eh?
Jezzo....move on and get over itperhaps when all nrp's aren't labelled as CM dodging scumbags then everyones views would alter.
It's only you that thinks that....most people are aware that there are a small minority of distasteful NRP's but in the whole most pay and play an active roll in their kids life.
It's only you who likes to play the victim and believe that.0 -

This is the case isnt it? confirmation please good people:)
It will be bad news for us as we cant afford it at present
but there you go.
BB,
Your right about the pensions and we will be forced within the 2 yrs, the government are panicking cos lots haven't put in for whatever reason and that would mean government would have to fork out more money so they need us to have a pension in hand before we reitire.

I am so pleased you posted this...twice I have made a post on this thread today, one actually got posted but I deleted it a minute later and the other, I chickened out as I thought I was giving out too personal information but the gist of what I put, you have also put.
I too have disabled children, I too am the PWC and I too have an ex hubby who puts more onus on him having fun than seeing his children (around 4 hours per year!) despite me telling him he can have them whenever he likes. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Child support aside, the ability to live and save for a pension is more difficult than ever already! Especially for uni graduates who have high fees to repay, plus extortionate houseprices (even with a drop they are massive), high fares be it petrol or public transport. eople won't be able to eat soon, let alone save for a pension.0 -
I totally agree with you, everything is going up and finances will be tight for all of us.
The government wont consider that when they make it compulsory, we will just have to draw the purse strings once again.
Hey am getting used to being ripped off in this country nothing surprises me anymore, am just glad i came across this site for the better deals.0
