I have an old play station (the first type) (original box) with a few games and joysticks. How much should I sell that for?
thanx
An original playstation might be worth as much as £10 if someone really wants it to play retro games, but we never managed to sell ours at all even though we went as low as £3 at one point.

I used to be able to buy and sell these through car boots making a profit. Buy from Car Boot, sell to high street shops.
Prices have dropped so much now though. Alot of stalls will have these on their stands. Ring up your local gamestation and ask how much they are worth to trade in for cash. Then try and get more at your car boot. If you don't, go and get your cash from gamestation (or other reputable shops).0 -
You lot are lucky. I live in the sticks and there are no boot sales any where near me. the nearest one is 30 miles away once a month and they charge £15 entry!
I have used ebay to sell before but by the time you have added in all their charges it becomes a waste of time for some of the stuff.
I have been looking at this new online boot sale site http://www.ubos.co.uk
It looks quite good, everything is free to list at the moment.
Has anyone used this site to sell?0 -
Never heard of them.
It is also worth noting that this site is a prime example of free listings attracting rubbish. On the home page it has several videos in the £3.50-£4.50 range, the kind of thing that even my local charity shops refuse to accept as they are just not saleable.
I will continue to say it but, until a rival auction site can offer something that ebay doesn't have, they won't suceed. Free listings is not an incentive if there are no buyers, there has to be something else, a niche, to attract sellers.

At the moment no. There are great hopes though for Google going into the market, but even they would need to be different somehow to get an edge on ebay.

The sooner the better for me as I need to de-clutter.
I might give this site a go as its free and I am not buying to sell, anything sold is a profit. You never know I might even be able to put the car back in the garage then!0
