Tax Credits Annual Review Letter for 2009-10

Well at least I'm not the only one!! When you feel like you are in it on your own struggling against the system it's soooo frustrating!!
I think in the past when we've had an underpayment, we've had a little extra straight away, which is always a nice surprise when you check your bank statement online.
The rest they've added to the monthly payments, which actually for us would be handy.
And yes it can be difficult when your self employed and can't prove your hours very easily!! I spoke to a chap from HMRC last year as I was worried that we might be claiming the 30+ hour element but not actually working those hours frequently, but he was amazing. So helpful, listed all the time we should include for looking for work, researching etc (handy for us as DH is a freelance sound engineer and does IT stuff) so he's spending hours and hours doing stuff like that ready to install systems and work on new sound products.
I found last years review letter which was dated 19th April, and I did confirm our details as soon as I got the letter so hopefully we'll get it quickly this year. Cant find any other dated review letters so hopefully last year wasn't a one off!
Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this and post, I really appreciate it. :T
Enjoy your underpayments when you all get them. :ASaving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
rang ours through last tuesday morning and also very helpful staff. Said exactly the same to me.
Last year I rang at the same time and we had an additional £190.00 into our bank account on the following tuesday. So yes I also agree they are working pretty hard and this year for us is also major and difficult times as we are also due an underpayment.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
I've had about £50 paid into my account today, roughly half and half wtc and ctc? I have no idea why, it's not on the sheet for what this years payments will be (until I can tell them the changes), but it's more than welcome!!

Anyone received their annual review letter yet?
Think I might leave it till the end of next week and if I haven't received, I'll phone them up and try and tell them anyway...maybe they won't know if my letters been sent out or not and they'll take the figures.

Mine came today...and I was a very good girl and wasn't impatient by trying to give my figures in before the letter arrived. I waited until my letter came and I gave them the figures today.
Hopefully we'll receiving the new figures and paperwork in the next couple of weeks.
