As the title says really.
I have been on the neighbours from hell website, they recommend getting the police involved after keeping a log of events.
this is really stressing me out, out of forty neighbours - he is the only one to do it.
My concern is the police wont do anything - or he'll continue.
Any more ideas?

have you tried talking to them and asking why they insist on keep blocking your drive?:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Best course of action would be to ask them not to, you have to live int he same street as them remember. Going in all guns blazin could be a bad way to go about things. If your asking them to not park there falls on deaf ears then contact the police and see what they say. Keep a log of dates and times if you have a digital camera take photos too all evidence is good.
If your neighbour is parked on the road and the road isnt marked it is likley there is nothing wrong after all the car is taxed, if it isnt then call the police and it will be sorted for not paying tax. The police will also contact the owner and tell them the errors of their ways. Local council are always a good contact too, that is the route I took with someone parking accross the pavement infront of their own drive rather than pulling on to their drive.0 -
Speak with your local Neighbourhood Police Officer or PCSO. They are there to make life easier for you. They will speak with your neighbour if you feel unable to and enforce if need be. As an ex Neighbourhood Manager I know that this is a problem for many people but is easily remedied. A problem shared is a problem solved.Middlers0

One of my neighbors has a visitor who kept parking between my driveway and the one nextdoor. She didn't completly block either drive but did make it hard for us to park 4 cars on, as do the familiy she visits. I left a polite note on the windscreen and she stopped parking there. Mind you they are reasonable people. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0

There is no offence of obstruction if you are outside your driveway and trying to get into it, but there is if you are parked in the driveway and are trying to leave it.........
If I was that was inclined if I came back in my car and they were parked over the end of the drive I would park as close to their car as I possibly could just out of badness! But then thats just tit for tat and soooo childish!!! lol
Yip, keep a log but the police will only tell you what I have said above, however, if it escalates into a neighbour dispute then the log might be handy when it comes to ASBOs etc...."Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

It is an offence to block someone's drive. You can receive a parking ticker for it. I'd contact the Police, if they insist on parking across your drive. If you feel you can't approch them, contact the Police and or your local anti-social behaviour unit.
Tha car has to be blocking your drive on your side of the road tho', noone will do anything if the car is parking opposite your driveway.0 -

yes that's right. This is because it's been designated as a driveway. Some people install a drive without asking planning permission, and therefore leave the kerb raised. This wouldn't be classed as blocking a driveway if a car was parked across the entrance.0 -
i had this problem with my neighbour. kent police told me that if you can't get on your drive, tough luck and if you are blocked in they will only do something if you have a medical appointment or kids/ school etc. they said it's a nuisance but not illegal/wrong0
