Just wanted to share out latest MSE wedding item.
We are providing our own wine and as we like them we will be serving Rose and Red JP Chenet - there will be a couple of bottles of white wine on chill incase anyone is fussy!
Anyway, this used to be £3.99 and always on 3 for £10 at tesco, but recently it hasn't been, and had gone up to £4.79!!!!
We have 43 people coming so were thinking something like 15 bottles of each, then everyone should get at least 2 glasses of what they want. We were just about to give up on the offer coming back and buy it, but I went into Mr T's on Monday and the offer was back!!! And 6 bottles for £19 as well!!!
So I got a bit confused with my numbers because I wasn't prepared for buying it but needed to get it that night. I ended up getting 5 boxes of rose, 4 boxes of red and one box of white. At the til I realised this was 10 boxes and the offer was 6 for £19, got very confused and decided I needed another 2 boxes to make it a multiple of 6 to get the offer.... (Not working out that each box has 6 bottles... sanity had departed me!)
A lovely young man got me two extra boxes and so in total I got
6 boxes rose (36 bottles) At £4.79 (£172.44)
5 boxes red (30 bottles) At £4.29 (£128.70)
1 box white (6 bottles) At £4.79 (£28.74)

12 total boxes (72 bottles!!!)
Grand total £329.88

I paid £171

However we have ended up with over twice as many bottles as we needed.... Oh well, I'm sure they'll be drank!

    Thanks!!!
I'm more concerned about getting the unopened ones from home to the place lol. 72 bottles in a 11 weeks... not even a bottle a night lol.

I think we'll have to find somewhere, we've currently got a wall of wine! Dead chuffed that I saved the money, even if I did get double the amount lol.

Chelbel, I have no idea! Maybe they have an extra % off or something, checked my receipt and it's right!
We were supposed to pay £9 a bottle corkage. But we're not. I said I wasn't going to and that was the end of it!
We were going to go to Calais but everytime the crossing offer was on we had something else planned or couldn't get our shift patterns to match! Still pretty chuffed though :-)
I am loving it, but I think I will get annoyed soon when I trip over it for the 100th time!
