Yet another thread where Graham Devon is desperate to drag the discussion into a purile argument. What's his problem?"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0

When an individual has vested thier entire mental capital in a theory, they can become immovable. The history of science in fact demonstrates this.
Permabears in my view tend to be anchored down whereas others have a much more fluid processing style that is able to see outside the current reality tunnel.0 -
Hamish please tell me who these buyers are going to be and where from?
You mean you don't know?
Come and sit with mea day and I'll introduce you to the fireman with 2 jobs (second on his 3/4 days off), making £45k or the new immigrant nurse making almost £50k with agency work on top of normal nhs.
Dont whatever you do belive the pundits and politicians that think £100k is a high FAMILY income. Its pretty normal here.0 -

hamish, you're such a troll. Do I have to dig out that post of yours (not too far back) where you said you preferred to rely on sold prices rather than asking prices?
Seems like you don't have a consistent position...0 -
it's such a shame when people have to resort to disrupting threads and attacking individuals just because they don't like the news coming from the housing market.
it's happening all too frequently now. very sad.0 -

I've been thinking Hamish McTavish is a 50 Cent Poster for a while.
He could even be more than one person. In fact, several people posting under one name, all on the UK government payroll.
Think about the inconsistencies in his approach and how boringly trollish he is.
How much time does he have to post?
What else goes on in his life? Doesn't seem like much!
I think "he" is a tool of insidious propaganda. He is just too... weirdly inhuman.Long live the faces of t'wunty.0 -

I'd love to get paid to post, if you know where the Wǔm!o Dǎng recruiting office is, let me know.....I think "he" is a tool of insidious propaganda.
Whereas I think "you" are just a tool.He is just too... weirdly inhuman.
It probably won't surprise you to know that I take that as a compliment.;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

On RM today there are 48 new properties added in the past 24 hours in my county. That figures is new ones and those with a different price (it's been working like that for a couple of months).
13 are reductions of up to 5-10%
1 was sale agreed and now available again
34 were new to market
I think to find 14 properties reduced or available again out of 48 is quite a significant marker.0 -

I expect Rightmove were very pleased with this news and it is good of them to take the time to share it by issuing a press release.0
