Hi
Has anyone heard of a £50 weekly payment for going self employed (Construction CIS) when signing off of Jobseekers allowance.
I'm currently claiming Jobseekers and heard this from someone else.
Thanks

Im sure you have to be signing on for a certain length of time in order to claim things like this0

It's called self employed credit and you need to have been claiming JSA for 13 weeks,(was previously 26wks), is £50.00 per week paid for 16 weeks after signing off. You will need to speak to an adviser at your JC to fill in the paperwork and provide evidence that you are actually going to be self employed.0

Thanks for the replies.
Do you think asking for ADF for tools to start up would be pushing it.0 -
No, this is exactly what the ADF is for. Good Luck.0
