Canceled my ntl tv package completly about a month ago as we made very little use of it. I made an arrangment with them to collect the set top box about a week later..... Never turned up. Phoned them and they said sorry and made new appointment about a week later again....Never turned up. So phoned again they said sorry again and made new appointment for collection for yesterday afternoon.... Yes you guessed it they never turned up.
So now fuming I phoned them this morning and she tried the usual "Oh sorry about that, let me make you another appointment" that wasnt washing this time, I refused to make another collection date and said turn up if you can be bothered and if im not in its tough.
I asked for a supervisor to phone me back and she said ok ill get my supervisor to phone you in a bit..... never phoned. So phoned them about 4 hours ago and she said "oh sorry about that ill get my manager to call you soon" never phoned.
has anyone else experienced this much hassle with ntl??
still have broadband and home phone with them and im debating on changing supplier as they have wasted so much of my time
what do you guys think?

We used to be with NTL and they never turned up to collect our box either . . . strange!
We are still with them for broadband / phone and they are OK for that although like you say they are a nightmare to get hold of

Just keep the box, you will still get some free channels.BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4, Ch5, Cbeebies, CBBC, News24, BBC3, BBC4, ITV2.Also if you are in an on-demand area, that will still work (mostly random BBC stuff that is free - nothing you actually wanted to see "on demand").0

Or do what i did just stick it on ebay and get about 50£ for it. They phoned and asked when i could we come to pick it up. I happened to be on holiday that week and said any time on monday or tuesday. They said they would be there betwee 9-1 on Tuesday. Of course they did not show. Had a phone call a week later wanting to come and get it when i was working. (only have sundays off) Told them if they wanted there box they would have to come on a sunday at 4pm only. Not heard from them since so made a few quid out of them0
