well for a start they lied, it takes a LOT longer than 14 days, 7 weeks and counting me and my partner have been waiting, we are signing on tomorrow for the 4th time and still have no money, have had to get 2 crisis loans just to get by and can not afford to apply for any jobs
so yeah just a heads up that it can take a lot longer than they say0 -
omg that is awful

a few of my freinds are on it and it took no longer then a week :S0 -
your friends are lucky, so very very lucky lol
it really does depend, ive been on it in the past and its taken a couple of weeks to sort out and then im in the situation now and its taken forever
best thing to do is keep ringing up and checking or check your bank account daily0 -
As has been mentioned before, processing times vary according to area and the type of claim. Also, if they have confirmed that they have all the required information please do not 'keep ringing up'. If everybody does this it will take people away from claim processing and lead to longer wait times for people with genuine queries, which benefits no one.Gone ... or have I?0

they apparently have all the info they need from us yet we have to keep ringing up to find out what the hell is going on
sorry but people have the right to ring up as many times as they see fit to find out what is going on with their claim (someone at the job center actually told me this as did the kind women who i spoke to when i phoned up for a crisis loan)0 -
dmg24 i have only rang them once and that was because they said it would be a week and its been over thats all

tbf if you dont get on there back after a while they will just forget about you this happend to a mate of mine he left it for a while and then rang up and they said they had forgot about his claim because it was so long.
i am only going by what i was told at the job centre and this information was obvious wrong i just have a feeling my claim will be rejected seeing as its taken this long
btw what does backdated mean? i have heard about something that my claim should be backdated if its taken a while.0 -
back dated means they will back date all the money they owe you
so like me and my bf put our claim in on the 26th feb so they owe us 7 weeks money0
