Well , as we've been shopping more and more at lidl , We're now £2 short in clubcard points for our annual RAC membership , does anyone have any tips .
I've seen them for sale on Ebay, but i always thought that clubcard points were non-transferable as your name is printed on them - is there any way of buying extra points direct from tesco ?
any help apprieciated

No you cannot buy extra points from tesco. The whole point of the scheme is to encourage you to shop with them and reward loyalty. They are not going to give you the advantages of this if you are shopping elsewhere and not racking up enough points.
You are right that if you buy them from e-bay they will have someone else's name on and you will not be able to redeem them.0 -
You could buy clothes then take them back?
They dont take back the clubcard points when u get a refund

Do you need to develop any photos? There are leaflets at the photo desks which have 100 points for £3 spent on photos photos. Thats 200 points and 60 photo prints for £6.They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

may be too late for this quarter though - when do you need them by?0

Have a look at the thread in 'Discount & Vouchers'

You can get vouchers in Tesco for toiletries and make loads of points with the loopholes (I've made 1500 points in 3 days ... £60 in deals ... and am going back tomorrow - nice early start for xmas).

If you can wait, you can get 1000 points here:

Otherwise, there are some codes for extra points if you do an online shop over on the Discount codes board.
Some people even resort to picking up reciepts from the floor and getting the clubcard points added on to their card by customer services!0 -
cough cough I would never pick up receipts from the floor
I have today taken advantage of the Tesco toiletry offer at the mo, total came to £33ish - after discounts £22ish after vouchers and extra point vouchers it came to £10ish and I had 302 points back meaning £12.06 to spend at MFI and a profit of £2.00 and lots of lovely toiletries for Christmas presents.
My tip is to make sure you sign up for every tesco clubcard club that is available, even if you are not fans of wine, there will usually be vouchers included that are useful.
I think you may have missed the cut off date for this mailing but now that we have planning permission to double our house and I want a nice new kitchen I have purchased till spills* off ebay and accumulated extra points that way and bought items which have extra points with them.
*till spills do not show a name so I think they are a safer way of collecting points *

Thanks broke student, I must have missed this one. I currently have a till spill valid until Sept when I spend £10 on photo processing. I may see if I can combine the vouchers - cheers Welshy xI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

thanks everyone for your informative/helpful replies
Gizmo - we need them for the end of the month
Wow........ i think we'll need to start shopping more at tesco again, that thread on the toiletries - what a bargain
I think we'll need to forsake the rac membership for the next 3 months as i can't bring myself to pay £123 of real money for it anymore , have been using clubcard deals for it at least for the last 3 years !
although we could possibly downgrade our level of membership.
broke student - have just had 200 photo's developed as well 60 free prints - £10.08 from photobox(with free p&p code) No clubcard points though
Thanks again everyone"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

Sorry to hijack this thread but can anyone tell me how much this transaction would be worth? I am looking at a membership which will cost me £1000 to buy outright or £100 per month for 12 months. Just wondering if it would be better for me to pay it on my Tesco credit card and get the points rather than monthly installments but wondered how much I would get. Never too sure to be honest. I have got a platinum card and have had it for a few years now - never sure on how many points I earn on it though.0
