Apple appear to have invented something called a 'Folder'. I wonder if they're going to patent it. I'm sure I've got folders all over my computer.
And don't start me on the multitasking. 'We didn't do it first but we've done it best, that's why it took so long' - Crap. You're not first and you're not best. If they think that some icons at the bottom is better than Palm's 'card' system that you can re-arrange and see exactly what you're doing, they're wrong. It's a hacked-in add-on.
And as consumers, I'm sure you'll be most grateful for the iAds feature. Taking 40% of the developers income from the advert (after they've already paid Apple to be in the App Store I think) is very generous of them. Good luck to those on Orange with 750mb/month download limits. You'll spend plenty of that bandwidth downloading the massive ads!
And lastly, I hope all the iPhone 3G (still available for sale) users are pleased to see that they won't get multitasking.
I just got much more please with my choice of the Palm Pre if this is Apple's idea of the best smartphone.

Somebody has no idea what they are talking about, and has an axe to grind too.

By the way, Apple had folders long before a PC did ;)

yup, agreed. The current ad services are not well implemented, this will be better. And it should generate a bit more revenue for developers making free apps.
With google buying admob, competition is good (well, assuming this doesnt kill off the other ones).

I'm surprised iPhone users are that keen on advances that others have already seen

After all, going back a few years, about the original iPhone, wasn't one of its users' excuses rumoured to be:

‘What do you need 3G for? You can easily use the iPhone without using a 3G network and anyway, 3G is not particularly widespread so this is not a problem.’

3G is a technology which transfers video and web data smooth and faster with bigger bandwidth. In future when we talk to someone we can see them on our phone while talk. If it is just talk minutes, yes don't need 3G.

Surprisingly next year 4G will come which transfer data 10 times faster than 3G. Still it is in the lab, fingers crossed.

Multitasking? Its far from multitasking. At this moment in time my phone has email, messaging, Calender, contacts, Facebook, Monopoly 3D and the phone dialer open and i can switch from one to the next by sliding my finger across the screen and they are all open and running.Video capture, didn't have to buy a new phone for it, i just downloaded an update over the air to get it.
You will also have what you are doing stopped when a text message etc comes through, e i get a nice little notification at the bottom of the screen.

Apple could sell a glass hammer and people would say how great it is.

Iphone isn't a smartphone though, its a music player with apps and a phone dialer. Nothing more and nothing less hence why i refuse to spend a silly amount of money for it.

    Folders, maybe.

In DOS 3.0 they were called directories... same thing though. ;)

Ofcourse, we need more competitors, that's the reason today apple think about new features and price. When there is a competition then only customer can get most out of it.
