How to speed things up?

We are ready to exchange as are the sellers of the property we are buying (they are going into a vacant house) We are only waiting on our buyer. Last week it transpired that their was a condition on their mortgage relating to the repayment amount on a different mortgage (not sure why as they are in rented at the mo) and today we have been told that they have raised 2 further queries on our property. Their old mortgage company has still not provided info to the new company regarding the repayment amount.
How can we get them to pull their finger out? When we accepted his (ridiculously low) offer, it was because he was 'extremely proceedable'. But it seems now that he is not? I'm getting a bit fed up of waiting and I assume the sellers of our new home are too having had 2 previous sales fall through just before exchange.

TBH, there's not much you can do. Answer these new queries quickly and accuratly and make sure the answers are sent my email or fax.

Chains always move at the speed of the slowest person and people often exagerate how quickly they can proceed, to make their offer look better.

get your lawyer to get a beter idea of what the buyers lawyer needs to satisfy their mortgage cmpany and see if your lawyer can give a solution.
My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

Walk away, or at least threaten it.

Seems harsh but tell the EA a deadline and stick by it. If they are serious they will get it resolved if they are not then thats one of those things.
