How to go about offering BIN

Hi,
Just a question. A buyer has contacted me in reference to an auction item, asking me " have you got a buy it now price".
I was wondering as to how I would go about this, would I give a bid/price which I would accept and offer to close the auction or revise the auction (no bids as of yet) and offer it now as BIN?
Or am I even allowed to do this?
Thanks.

As long as there are no bids on it you can revise the item and add a buy now price. My daughters are my world0

definitely go down the route of adding a buy it now price - you can calculate what youll get after fees etc.. Dont go down the route of agreeing outside of ebay as a)its against their rules and b) no seller protection..0

I'm not saying to do this but to correct you there is no risk with a gift payment to the seller all the risk is with the buyer as they can't open a dispute or do a chargeback so there is no need for seller protection. Its a favourite scammers trick get someone to buy off you by sending the money as a gift , don't send the item and the buyer has no money or item and there is nothing they can do about itjumbojuice wrote: »definitely go down the route of adding a buy it now price - you can calculate what youll get after fees etc.. Just to say if someone is asking for a price and not willing to wait for the auction they ore than likely think they can get it cheaper than waiting for the auction. So you may want to let the auction run.0 -

You can look at it the other way as well, I have had a few auctions where a buyer has offered slightly more than I expected (and more than the average of the last few completed auctions for the same item) because they didnt want to wait the 3/4/5 days the auction still had to run.====0
