Would you like some peace of mind in a volatile energy market?
The good news is that with Fix and Fall from British Gas, if you fix both your gas and electricity prices at our new September rates, there'll be no more price rises for over two years.
And even better, we guarantee at the end of next year your energy prices will actually fall by 5% right up until 31st December 2008.
British Gas is the only supplier to offer this security.
No cancellation charges and no tie-ins
You can rest assured that if you happen to change your mind after signing up to Fix and Fall, you can cancel at any time for no extra charge, and there are no tie-ins. Simple as that!

Do you by any chance work for BG?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Another variation on capped prices, not only fixed prices but a reduction on fixed prices. A reduced sale.!!
A device to keep customers.
They be feeling the pinch.0 -
Didn't they guarantee as well that there wouldn't be no more price rise this year, before they rise their prices for the second time in july?0

Why would you want to fix your prices with one of the most expensive rip off companies. If you want to fix ,British Gas arent one of the companies I would want to fix with this is a money saving site British Gas tend to cost you more not less0

Trust BG to play the 'volatile energy market' card, whilst in the same breath give out one of the clearest indications so far that they expect it to stabilise... well, perhaps not the clearest indication since the MD of BG has been quoted as saying he thinks wholesale gas prices are set to fall in the very near future.0

Does it apply to existing customers or just new ones?:beer:0

There are T&C's to the deal. You must have both fuels and not prepayment for any.
It is an OK offer as far as I can see but not as good as their previous fixed rate deals. It just depends on whether you think the prices are going to continue to rise. If you think they will then its not a bad deal. If you think, as so many do, that the market will stabalise then dont touch it. Sign with the cheapest supplier and monitor the prices.0 -
no i dont work for british gas i just copyed and pasted from there advert0

You could sign up to any range of suppliers and have your prices capped for the next 3 and a bit years. Infact most offer no tie ins, no cancellation fees. And if there was a reduction in price some capped prices would fall in line with the reduction in prices.
Bgas are just trying to retain customers because they are way out in front with there prices now.
As a point do Bgas put your prices up first and then cap them or are they capped at there standard rates. Some how I think my first answer would be correct and then not only would you be paying high prices you may as well go and bury yourself because the state there prices are you will be working yourself into the ground to pay there bills.
Why anyone is with Bgas I do not know.0
