Barclays is a massive company...they have aquired a lot of finance companies up over recent years...a few high profile like Clydesdale Financial Services, Goldfish & Woolwich. Often they new additions to the group will have sub companies that also fall under the parent companies ownership.
It does not surprise me that many collection agencies will be under the Barclays Group `banner` by sheer virtue of being part of Barclays aquisition drive.....that does`nt mean they will trade as Barclays name though.
Hope that makes sense. I bet if you look under any of the major finance houses there will be many random names under the `parent group` too.0 -

Yes that does make a lot of sense angel, but does lead to confusion on the part of the consumour, which no doubt is the intention, distance means deniabilaty, but never the less an issue:cool:
And you know me;) that gets my back up:p
The question is would anyone in power care.....doubt it myself.:(Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

I know what you mean about confusion but the info is in the public domain should it need to be accessed so I guess thats sufficient.
These banking groups are massive ....Usually there is group membership disclosure within the letter heading or in the lower detail info in all correspondance though.
Gosh looking down that list....eeeek will give me nightmares later:eek::eek:0 -
