weeowen, please don't think that I'm complaining, because I really appreciate all of the comps that you post. I was wondering how you do your clickys? For some reason many posts that you start shoot up a large grey box when I hover over them on the comp board and they're sometimes difficult to click on. It doesn't happen with any others and I just wondered what it is that you do differently.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Hi,Barnaby sue.Sorry that the clickys are causing you problems. When I first started posting I just posted the link but a couple of members kindly explained the method. The way I do them is ........
1.Type the word that will be made clickable eg "Expert Reviews"
2.Adjust size,font & colour at random.
3.Highlight the word & insert link by clicking on the "globe".I remove the http & paste the link.
Does this seem the standard way.I use Firefox in the main if that has any bearing.0 -
I've not heard of that way, I usually paste the link, highlight it, then write what I want over the paste. It's not a major problem, just the odd one that flashes large and covers the title on the main board page so it's hard to open the thread. You carry on, it was just a general 'wondering...ment'Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

No problem.I'll see if I can get the hang of your way to see if it helps.0

I don't think it's the method for creating the link that causes this, but something to do with the size/font/colour selection - probably the font - although I haven't been able to identify exactly what it is. I would think that loads of people use the same method as weeowen for their links - I always do.
I don't find it a problem. As I scan down the page and hover over a prize that I fancy, if it flashes or comes up in an oversize box I know immediately that it will be one of weeowen's !!0 -
Cheers one-eye.I've no idea what I do that is different.I just follow the method that was sent me a few months back.Like you say it could be the font/colour.I tend to favour " Garromond" (sp)if that has a bearing.
I spotted the big grey box but didn't realise it was confined to my posts. At least I've got a unique selling point now:D0 -
Does this happen on ALL weeowen's posts or just the ones with pictures in?0

I'm not sure thingamabob.I've only recently started to play with photobucket & putting pictures on after the hotlinking debate a few months back.I get the impression that it is all my posts as I have only added pictures to about 25 posts as yet.0

I've just been looking at some of your post as I wondered what the problem was and I found that all of the ones I looked at with pictures in gave wide preview boxes while all those without pictures were no different than anyone elses.0
