Itune Account for child help please!?

My son has bought an ITouch and we want to setup an Itunes account so he can download applications and music.

I figure the best option is for him to have his own account funded by gift vouchers.

I have tried to setup an account using a voucher and not entering my credit card details and itunes won't accept the voucher. Is this the right approach or is there something here I am missing? I do not want the account setup on my credit card I want it funded from gift vouchers.

Any help much appreciated....

Go the the iTunes App Store and purchase any free app. It'll ask you to log in or to create an account. When you select create an account, there will now be an option saying "none" under the payment details. Select this.

Thank you for the advice. I've been having a bad hair day and have just been slow to crack the obvious!

I realised what I hadn't done was reveal the code on the Itunes voucher card which is hidden behind the scratch off coating. Once this code was entered the account set up - hooorah!!

The lad has now accessed his itune account and is merrily downloading applications.
