Hi
I ordered some celotex PIR insulation for a garage conversion that we are doing as that is what we have quoted on the building plans that were approved by the council.
We received it today and it is branded as xtratherm.
i have done a quick look on line and a lot of companies do say celotex or equivilant. Do you think that the council inspector will have anything to say about it, or do you think it will be fine?
Thanks

As long as the `u` values are met they dont mind about the brand0

I haven't managed to find the u values of the xtratherm yet!0

Xtratherm is the same as Celotex and Kingspan0

The U values of Xtratherm are the same as celotex and I know this because we have just fitted vast amounts of Xtratherm to our house and we had to check the U values beforehand! HTHCourage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

What the hell does it matter what it is called so long as it does the same job. I doubt whether the inspector gives a toss either. It's the u-value that is important..I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
