I want to earn big pots of cash...

My son used to earn good money. The company was very busy, loads of overtime. But the last 2 years he hasn't had a pay rise, very little overtime, nearly faced redundancy or relocation last year. So now he doesn't seem that well paid after all.
He does have his own house (mortgaged, so not really his yet), nice home, nice car and no debt, so he doesn't really complain. But I wonder how long he will keep accepting no increase in salary.

OP - I earn an OK wage about 25k combined regular job and SE job. Its nice enough but my regular job pays the bills its my small SE job that I enjoy even athough I make barely 2k a year at it.
I am also doing some 30 point courses t the OU as a way of making me feel like me.
hell that sounds so pretencious but I hope you understand what i meanMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
OP from your other posts in this thread it just sounds like you need to find the right partner to move in with (or drop some hints if you're already in a relationship). I found it hard to get by when having to rent a room on my own, although "two can live as cheaply as one" isn't true it can be a lot cheaper when there are 2 of you to share some of the bills. Basically don't stress about your job too much, there are other ways you can make money go further0

it's all about getting some good contacts, this world is who you know not what you know. there are many high earners who got there just by having the right contactsMartin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -
I come across a lot of escort websites in my work, and can tell you that you don't necessarily have to be all that good looking
, and there's a hell of a lot of cash to be made from it. Plus it's legal in the UK, so that's a bonus.

I made close to £40k last financial year, and it doesn't make me happy (albeit I'm not complaining!).
What makes me happy is spending quality time with my girlfriend, and doing things I want to do. Money isn't the answer to everything. Find out what truly brings out the best in you, and earn just slightly more than you need to get there.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Twice what my girlfriend earns Rictus (and she's a year older than you!).
Money doesn't bring happiness. It's taken me 8 adult years to realise that, so stop chasing it to make you happy if you are. Because it won't. The best things in life really are free.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
