Epson Printer Ink Problems

I bought some ink for my printer today (Epson Stylus SX200) -put it in as usual and got a message up saying 'Ink not compatible' ! :eek:It's not refil ink, its the proper stuff and all the numbers match with what the printer is telling me.
I've switched it off for now in the hope it'll forget what its told me but wondered if anyone else has had problems like this.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

You have to make sure they are the correct generation.
Some earlier compatibles wont work with later printers.

Thanks. How do I find that out .........with the numbers all matching on the cartridges and the printer message I assumed they must be the right ones.

I dont think you can tell just from the box, UKDVDR do Gen 7 cartridges for your printer for 4.04 for a set of 4 plus 4.74 delivery.
Sometimes they have special offers on for these, buy 5 sets and get free delivery but you will have to keep looking or sign up to their newsletter.
I can vouch for the quality of the inks from them as well.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'll bear that in mind. Ink's seldom cheap it seems.

I am using an Epson Stylus SX200 printer, my second one because my first developed faults, one of which was refusing to print using compatibles. With my present model, I am using remanufactured inks and during the process of printing it warns me that I am not using genuine cartridges but by pressing a 'continue' button I can print without further trouble.
