How to fix this depends on which browser you are using.

For example, in Firefox 3.0, you need to go to Edit, Preferences, Applications and select the mailto: action, then set it to use the application that you use as an email client on your PC.

Sorry, can't help with specifics, as I can't run IE - but hopefully someone will be along soon who does use it. It may help to say which version of IE you use, as they change all of the menus with every new release.

Which version of Windows you are running would also be helpful.

EDIT: And which email client you are trying to use.

Do you use webmail? e.g. gmail, hotmail or similar?

If you only sent the occasional report, that might be easier for you.

In that case it would probably be easier for you to:

Use Hotmail to compose an email to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com

Include in that email a link to the post you want to report and an explanation.

The easiest way to get the link is to go to the post you want to report and right click the post number in the top right corner and select "copy shortcut".

    Like this:

Then paste the link into the email and send.
