Hi,
I was rejected a credit card from Egg and Lloyds recently so I checked my experian credit report which gave me a Good score (896/1000). I just have one credit card with £250 and never missed a payment or was late. I need one more card, Please advice what should I do?
I have already appealed but the reply was negative.
Thanks,
Boris

Hi,
The scores you get from the credit reference agencies have no bearing on wether a provider will give you credit. Each company will score you differently according to their own criteria.0 -

Is £250 your credit limit ?, hence they would have taken account of total existing credit where if its too high or low can mean a low internal credit scoring.
They also take into account many other factors.
You can check your credit score online as many times as you like and work out what needs to be improved on applicationsso as to improve your credit application.
