Hi everyone
My friend's after a new motor but doesn't know where to start. Her requirements are:
Five door, i.e. hatchback
No bigger than 1.6L
Preferably diesel
Manual
She doesn't want new; 2 - 5 years old would be ideal
Nice and reliable but nothing too dull
She's got up to 7K to spend
Any recommendations? Thanx

Not really. Not sure why she wants diesel but I don't think it's a dealbreaker. She's probably just assuming that it's more economical."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Diesel better on fuel, but more expensive on tax, servicing, maintanence (esp modern diesels) and possibly insurance for some cars. If she does less than 15k a year, forget it.0

OK, scrub the diesel bit. She says she likes fiestas but I think they're tiny. Anyone got one? Any good?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Nowt wrong with fiestas. Definitely a girls car though.0
