just wondering if anyone has knowledge of iwantituk.com ? I'm looking for a painter and decorator and found one via the site who is due to call to my home on Sunday to give me a quote. just wondering if anyone else has had any dealings with them?

Update - the painter and decorator came to look at a job I'd previously been quoted £150 for - when I posted it on iwantituk.com I said I was willing to pay £50 - he said he'd come and give me a quote and agreed to do it for £50!!! What a result, he's coming back on Thursday to do the job and I've saved myself £100! I'll let you know what type of job he does, but he seems to know his stuff!!

Seems a good idea for a site but looks to be in its infant stage and all ads on there at the moment seem to be posted by a few people possibly friends and family to make it look busy, sort of off putting in my opinion. :cool:

I have used the site and found it good. I needed my outside pipe fixed and asked for a plumber to fix it and that i only had £30 to pay for it. Low and behold one got back to me in 2 days and fix my pipe. I don`t think it`s been going to long but it work for me.

Got my painting done! a really good job too so I'm over the moon - I'll deffinately use the site again
