I run a driving school and over the last few months keep getting calls from companies who say they have been getting us on the front page of google and to keep us there we just need to re-new and pay again when I check them or ask them to e-mail me they are normally none existant companies.
The latest is businessdirectoryltd.co.uk the whois website shows it was only registered in aug last year, and their reps are using hotmail accounts but the rest seams to go together ok
As anyone used them or are there any other checks I could do I find it so hard to know who is legit over the phone

Sounds 100% scam to me. My rule is that I will NEVER do business with anyone who calls, emails or texts me unsolicited. If I want a product or service I research it thoroughly and approach the company myself.0

Not sure if it's a scam but the website is rubbish. I'd avoid."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

This sounds very like those scams where they say you will be going in a business directory, and it either never appears or they say you agreed to buy an advert and threaten to sue you for non-payment. It sounds very dodgy to me, so I would avoid.0

Just tell us the name of your driving school and we'll mention it so often that it'll rise to the top of Google, faster than you can say Toto's Restaurant in Bury.0

too right dealer, my philosophy alsoThe advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D
Don't like what I have to say? Call me on 0800 KMA;)0
