I am looking for some understanding of where my credit stands please
I went into IVA in June 2006. I did a FF settlement in Jan 2010. I have cntacted IVA folk for my certificate and they tell me it they will have it to me by mid April. I have followed the credit clean up talk. So plan to check using the advice given. However reading how some folk have had trouble getting a full bank account post settlement. I am now a little confused. If I obtain my completion certificate and my credit references show up settled. Does that mean that I have to wait until June 2011 before I am deemed as credit worthy again, or is it from the point of settlement in Jan 2010 ? I am not looking to change banks or accounts or obtain credit card, however would like to understand if or when that option is there for me. as it is I am confused.

I think its 6 years from when you took your IVA out (regardless of when you finish it) - so it wont drop off your credit file until June/July 2012.Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0
