It's about time you sorted out that PC of yours! The online calculator uses javascript like this site.

It doesn't work for me either. It uses flash, I believe, and never finishes loading.

Agreed but it uses javascript to call the Flashplayer and Ken68 has problems on this site (Thanks button etc.) which uses javascript but not Flash.

Well it may depend on what security you have on your system. On mine I have had to allow mobile code for the ukpower website in my firewall but your anti-virus may also be blocking scripts.

This is assuming that you have Flash installed.

 Only version 6! Works fine after upgrade. Can't imagine how I've got by this long without noticing. This is the first flash site that hasn't worked for me as well!

If you do View, Source on the online calculator webpage, it calls for version 7. This facility was only written a couple of months ago so I guess that's why.

    ;)

Why are Energy Helpline telling me that EBICO are the cheapest when by your Powergen figures obviously make it not so. Must be to do with as mentioned the standing charge and how little you use.

EBICO prices...no standing charge including vat...8.68p
    E 7 ...2.89p

    Without E7......7.40pence.

and I use less than 1500 kwh per annum. There must be a point at which it pays not to be with EBICO.Only for light users it seems.

The prices I quoted for Gas. I assume yours must be for electric.

Age Concern is more expensive then powergens standard tariff. There primary rate is cheaper but the secondary rate more expensive.

If your a light user i would steer clear of Npower based on those prices.
