Disney bookclub Web site are offering 6 free children's books plus a Disney desgined Mickey Mouse bookcase.

Catch - You are signed into the Disney Club once you have filled in the registration form and are also sent 2 other books on 7 day trail. If you are not happy with the books you can then return them. See attached Conditions for further explanation

2 We'll send your FREE gifts, along with 2 additional Disney classics, Finding Nemo and Lion King, to examine on a 7-day free trial basis. If you're not delighted with the trial books, return them within 7 days to cancel your membership. The FREE books and Bookrack are yours to keep in any case.
3 If you choose to keep the 2 trial books, pay just £3.75 per book plus £1.48 postage and packing for the two. Then, about every four weeks, we'll send your child two more books at the low member's price of only £3.75 per book plus £1.48 postage and packing.

4 After accepting only 3 shipments of two books each, you may cancel at any time.
5 As a member each year you will have the opportunity to receive, on approval, any special Year Books, calendars and supplements published as part of the series, together with other occasional special offers. You will be notified prior to shipment with their details and the current price. You may cancel delivery of any you do not wish to receive.

beware of this company i signed up to this years ago and when i cancelled they kept on billing me this went on for months .it was a real headache to finally sort it out.i also know of others who have had the same problem.please beware its not worth it.

They must have improved, I tried it a couple of months ago, and had no probs at all, just stick to the rules.

I'll confirm what others have said - A right pain in the !!!!!! to cancel.

I tried several times before I succeeded- and that was only after another set of Disney books had turned up (about 5 or 6 I think) for which they wanted about £15.

The trouble I had getting them returned / collected was not worth the freebies - customer service number was 0870 I seem to remember and couldn't find an alternative !!!!

Yep, very true! They are a pain. They charge you even though you have cancelled! Please BEWARE!

i sent a recorded delivery letter to them stating that i was cancelling and that any more books i recieved would be classed as unsolicited and i would keep them until they arranged collection. i was sent 4 more befor i got my cancellation letter from them but i was never asked to pay for them or send them back.

I think the general consensus is that this is bad news therefore could you pse delete soonest. Apologies for highlighting.

Maybe there should be a single board where all web addressees that are bad news and not to be touched with the proverbial barge pole could be placed. You could then do a quick search to see if the not recommend site was on there. Could call it the Blacklist Board. Appreciate the vent board is there as well.

Just a thought.
