Fireproof document storage

I have some important documents which I want to protect if there was ever a fire in my house. Can anyone recommend any fireproof document storage?

The solicitor who did the conveyancing on our house offers to keep our important documents in his safe room for free.
So we keep photo copies at home and the real ones at the solicitor’s office so if either set burned we have a backup.
Obviously this puts him first in line for any future business on our house but the service is free.

Also I did see in Tesco the other day a fire resistant document safe, about £60 as I remember.
I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes.

A good suggestion by Mr Meanie.

I would suggest that before you part with £60, you speak to a Fire Fighter or Fire Officer to get their opinion of the Tesco fire resistant document safe.;) If they think it would keep your documents safe in a house fire, it will give you the confidence to go for this option.

    Kind Regards
