It was discovered on here a couple of years ago that if you put more than 4 people you will not be offered butlins - worth a try though to see for yourself.
My sister didn't mention her youngest, and he slept in a travel cot. They don't do a headcount as you enter the park, so you can get away with it if you wish to. All holidays ask for the names and age of the people who will be on holiday, for fire regulations I think? Sister just missed the baby's name off.
Butlins make sure everyone pays to get into the park, rather than giving everyone a pass like haven etc. do, so you don't need passes while you're there. In theory you could sneak extra people in and nobody would know (unless there was an accident or fire I suppose).52% tight0 -
I have just got back from a Park resorts long weekend. I paid for 4 plus I have a baby as well (didn't pay for him). No one checked the numbers in our car/party and even when we went into the pool they didn't count the number of passes I had with me.
One thing though is that they gave us a 2 bedroom property so the baby had to sleep in the living room in a travel cot, but that didn't matter to us!0 -
thanks for the numbers info, happy to sneak DD in if I get Butlins but worried they check passes when going to evening entertainment ?0

butlins don't have passes

the security on the gates make sure everyone has a holiday booking, and there's a ticket price for visitors to come in for a day visit. When you leave the site you get a ticket to allow you back in.
so, you don't need to show passes to get into the entertainments, swimming, fairground etc. because they are pretty sure that you've paid in some shape or form.52% tight0 -
Anyone know if the booklet/list of parks is in todays Sun?0

when we went to butlins last year we had entertainment passes, not that we ever got asked for them, when we went into entertainment venus we just showed them out of courtesy, but always bunched up 1 behind the other, so they neva actually knew how many we had, mind you we did have enough for each of us last time, this time there will be 1 more but worth the risk in my opinionTake every day as it comes!!0 -
oh, i could be wrong then. i didn't have passes at skegness last year though, pretty certain but i'm a dozy mare.
camping looks like the best option then - do they limit how many can be in your tent clare?52% tight0 -

With a tent at Minehead you can have any number, just £10 per extra person over 4 people but £75 a night when I want to go, would have gone for it if it was an off peak date I wanted at £45 a night.0 -
Has anyone been abroad with this offer? Just wondered how much more the costs work out when you add in the ferry etc?
TIA. x
We went as a family of four last year to the south of france. Can't quite remember the exact cost but it was around £200 but no more (7 Nights).
We've already booked for this June to go to La Croix du vieux pont which looks and sounds like a brilliant park. This has cost us £184 in total, for 4 people, 7 nights mon-fri including a £15 equipment damage waiver.
We go on the 14th of June. We've been holding out to book another week and make it a 14 night holiday which we are going to do. We hope to be going to a park in the Dordogne region. We have flown to the south and driven in the past. Don't know if you've done it before but driving in France is a pleasure compared our roads! Once we've booked a second week we will then be getting our crossing booked using our Tesco clubcard points for the Eurotunnel. This will be less than £150 and our points will cover the whole cost. Ultimately we will have a two week holiday for less than £400. We go to France every year and love it. Almost all of the parks are top rate. One more thing worth noting, it seems that every time we've used the sun holidays for France you actually end up staying with Eurocamp! You can check all the parks in this offer on their site. I can't post the link because I'm not allowed but just google it.
Hope this helps.0
