Washing line rain cover?

I gave up tumble drying ages ago as it seemed such an unnecessary expense. I went back to using the rotary line in the garden but I got so fed up of my washing getting rained on all the time that I started drying it indoors. But I must say I'm getting a bit hacked off with washing hanging all over the house. Every time people come round I have to hide the manky old bras and knickers!
Some friends of mine have got one of these Rotaire rain covers and they swear by it, so I'm thinking of getting one myself.
Anyone got any thoughts on the matter, before I make the leap?
(Sorry I tried to put a link in so you could see what I'm on about but it won't let me - says I'm a new user - I'm so not! But they are easy to find if you Google 'Rotaire')

Hi,
remember reading about this some time ago so did a forum search, so here's some reading for you.
Was across in Arran recently, and the lady in b&b uses one, saves lots on tumble dryer, especially if changing 5 beds a day in rainy season.0 -
Thanks Frugal - but when I click on 'reading' it says
'Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms'0 -
I thnk the one you are on about was on Dragons Den..
I'm not allowed to post a link (?) but Google:
Eco Washing Lines .co . uk
Try that! :j0 -
Cheers Lilypads! The one I am after is the one with a mesh skirt, that they sell at www. rotaire . com. Apparently, the skirt is important as it keeps a lot of the rain off ( rain often slants in sideways), plus it helps to dry the washing even quicker in summer as it 'convects' or something!
I have found some quite positive reports about this one - the 'Rotaire' - on here, but I can't post any links, but if you search the forum for 'Rotaire' you will see the one I mean.
Seems like a very good idea and people seem happy with them - I think I'm going to go for it. It will be £35 well spent, now we are turning the heating off more :T and the radiators not such a good way of drying the washing.0 -

Hi,
sorry links don't seem to be working, though I redid them last night, and were working then, seem to take you to error search page, anyway I was trying to get you to some comments on the Rotaire rain cover, so if you click the search box at top of page, type rotaire, you should get there.0
