hi everyone.

my mum and dad are splitting up (amicably thankfully) and are going to be selling their home and splitting the proceeds down the middle. they have a 4 bedroom house in private grounds down a private road in a little village near nowich called hethersett.

as it is very near to the hospital (norfok and norwich) and there are already several doctors living nearby, we would be interested in marketing it to the medical professions as well as the london countryside market it such a thing exists.

therefore, can anyone recommend a good estate agents (i know....near impossible!) that would be able to market the prorperty to the correct buyers market without charging hurrendous percentages? we are probably looking at getting it valued in the next few weeks and on the market by early springtime.

if anyone has any guidance or opinions then please share them as i have offered to help my parents with all the arrangements but don want to offer them any incorrect advise as i am only 28 and not particularly experienced in house buying and selling ( i own a flat, never sold anything!).

thanks everyone.

Adrian

The one near us that is flogging higher end houses is Fine and Country. I believe that they are affiliated to another agent. Why don't you just get all the local agents around the house for a valuation and then see who you prefer and who answers all the questions in the right way?

Is it really a good idea to put your parents' full address on the internet?

Unless we're really bad at haggling, the best EA commission you're likely to get in Norfolk is 1.5%, and we had to beat them up to get that.
