Bank Charges

Options
Since opening a new bank account in 2007, our bank charges including interest have totalled nearly £2,800. I've written to the bank claiming the charges back again and they said that they have acted fairly but we are in financial difficulty and now have to fill in the income and expenditure form for them to help but when they are charging us £150 at a time its hardly likely to help but they are adamant that they will not refund us the bank charges. Where do I go from here?

Complete the income and expenditure form because they cannot assess the account for financial hardship if you don't. Once you have, I would cancel all NON-essential direct debits and if you have priority debt arrears then contact your lenders to see what they can do to help as well.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
