Lilly, you wonderful, wonderful person for posting this.

I've just got my email back and we have been awarded tickets for legoland and fuel costs!

    Pending sending proof of course.

So chuffed, I've never been able to get anything like that before (so had given up even trying!)

    Huge thanks
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Isnt it brilliant!! I am so happy for everyone!! I told my sons that we are going to legoland and the 7yr old was so happy but the 4yr old said "But I wanted to go to Care Bear Land"!!!! I am sure that they will enjoy it when they get their though!

Just got to decide when to go now as dont really want to go when it is majorly busy as 7yr old wont be able to handle any big crouds as easily stressed. But cant go in the week as oldest is at secondary school.

I am so excited! Just hope I can cope with it and my lupus is better controlled by then.
  • Thank you so much for posting this - we had confirmation this morning that we have been awarded tickets too! So pleased - can't wait! :j

I've just sent mine off for Alton towers, have wanted to go for a few years but the cost for 2 adults and 4 children is way more than we can afford, this is fantastic.
Thank you so much for the post.

I've just cut and pasted this from the legoland website about queue jumper stamps, but all the merlin group offer these:
    Exit Pass Policy

Aim - To ensure all of our Guests have the opportunity to experience our rides and attractions, within a safe and secure environment.
Background - LEGOLAND Windsor has been specifically designed to be accessible for Guests with disabilities. A wheelchair can be used in the majority of queue lines, and where this is not possible there is a ramp on exit or lifts for entry. All restaurants and shops are accessible and all shows are fully accessible to all Guests. In view of this level of accessibility it is not a legal requirement to offer an exit pass scheme for all Guests with disabilities.
LEGOLAND Windsor welcomes visits by people with disabilities and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit. However, certain rides and attractions can be physically demanding and vigorous. LEGOLAND Windsor therefore reserves the right to refuse admission to certain rides should it be felt there is a danger to a particular individual for whatever reason.
LEGOLAND Windsor has been advised by the Health and Safety Executive that refusal on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination. LEGOLAND Windsor hopes this is understood and Guests accept the decision made in the interest of the safety of all Guests. The exit pass scheme that is available is offered as a concession to those who require additional assistance and is an additional service to Guests.

This policy outlines the LEGOLAND Windsor Exit Pass Policy and is in conjunction with the Guide for Guests with Disabilities. The exits of the rides and attractions are also used by Guests who have purchased Q-bots, which allow the holder to virtually queue for a ride. Please be patient as there may be a short wait to board the ride.

You need proof of what the disability is rather than DLA award letter, my son is autistic so we qualify, I hope this helps

Gosh you have your hands full! 5 kids is a handful normally, but 4 special needs must be hard work. i've got 2 with one with ASD and that's hard work enough!

    Hi,

I applied for tickets two weeks ago and was successful and just received my tickets a few days so maybe you should get in touch to let them know. We are really grateful to lilly81 for this posting.
