Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I had a look on the Pure website and found this:

The standby (power) button sometimes doesn’t switch on my ONE radio.

Make sure you install the latest firmware version for your ONE radio. You'll find the latest download in the ‘Firmware & Downloads’ section above.

I have upgraded the firmware in mine only because I could, easy if you have the cable, but it did not seem to make any difference to its operation.

Maybe the switching off problem is similar or just a faulty switch, mine feels like an oildrum switch, clicks when you press it.

I'd give Pure a call and see what they recommend.

    Hope this helps.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • The tescos site is closed now grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
    Just trying to be me.....
  • Not by Pure, but Superdrug have reduced their cube style Dab Radio/alarm clock from £45 to £25.

And I've also seen a similar one in a Comet leaflet for £29.99
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
    Quidco and Topcashback, £5,687
    ShopandScan, £3,470
    Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
    Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
    British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR1200

Dunno about the chargepak issue but I saw the same PureOne DAB radio on cheapandfree.co.uk for £33.90 delivered with 2 year guarantee. Think it was using a promotion code at john lewis

Thanks for this - just ordered the black model for £33.90 delivered. Looks like good value with a 2 yr guarantee.

    Promo code needed from cheapandfree.co.uk.

I bought the Pure One radio from John Lewis using a £20 off a £50 spend code last week.

Worked fine until today when I have the same problem as you describe. I turned it off, went to turn it back on & nothing happens - the clock is frozen & none of the buttons work.

Can only get around it by removing cable & re-plugging.

Vjain - did you have any luck with the firmware upgrade ? If it solves the problem I shall have to find a cord to upgrade it. I don't really want to return it as otherwise it is a great radio & I love the pink colour !!

The firmware upgrade as I understand it is specifically for the standby button problem. The cord to update is pretty common, digital cameras, pda, some mobiles etc all come with one. I've upgraded mine but I only ever use it on batteries anyway and I didn't ever encounter the problem. Shame cos it mars an otherwise great radio.

I rang Pure and they informed me that they think the upgrade software will solve it so I will try this when I can get hold of the correct USB cable and let everyone know ;)

I dont have the right wire anywhere. My 2 digital cameras all use a different USB ending that is smaller than on the back of the Pure One. Also, my 2 other DAB radios use the larger square USB slot, so that wire isnt the right 1 either!
