Hi there
Apologies if this is a dull question but... what do I need to buy in order to connect our Dell Studio 1558 laptop to a TV? The one TV is a Matsui HD and the other is an older Philips (non-HD).
Thanks!

Does your laptop have HDMI out? I know some newer Dells do, and if the TV has it as well (the HD one will) then you can just get a HDMI cable and connect the two
Otherwise, does either TV have VGA in? If so you just get a VGA cable and connect the two that way.
If you want to connect audio to the TV as well, just get a 3.5mm audio cable and connect the headphone/speaker socket of the laptop to the PC-Audio socket of the TV (if yours has one)0 -
Maplin sell this VGA to TV connecting box
Currently £30 or so. As long as laptop has VGA output, you're sorted.0
