Please can someone tell me how to stop moss growing on the conservatory roof, we are too old now to get up there every few months to clean it off. I have read that copper kills it and also Zink which is right and how on earth can we fix it up there
Thanking you Drinda.

There is a system for copper ridges from about £50 a mtr + fitting, BUT if you buy a garden sprayer (gallon size that pumps up), add some moss killer and using a fase mask and glasses, spray from the floor , a couple of times a year (Now and autumn). On 'jet' it will reach up OK.0

I have heard oxygen bleach is good
I tried it myself usually use it for clothes and it does kill moss0 -
Moss is a plant or living organism.
Dilute Parazone or Bleach will kill it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

If you run a copper plate or wire accross, then it may kill the moss ... only to replace it with some horrible green staining from the copper. Zinc strips may work on certain types of moss, but either of these is going to leave streaks where some moss is killed and some not touched. These are really long term solutions for steeper tiled roofs, and need to be strips or wires a few feet apart up the whole roof
Any chemical solution is not going to last either.
The coating on the sheets has either worn off due to age/weathering or the roof is at too low a pitch, or in a north/shaded area. So if repalcement or redesign is not an option, then the only practical solution is a clean and jet wash a couple of times a year0 -
almost impossible to stop it when on a north facing roof.
the best option is to clean it off twice a year. a jet wash is ideal.Get some gorm.0
