On good friday i visited Scs (sofas) with an eye on purchasing a sofa/chair. I had hoped to buy something for around the £1000 mark with maybe a monthly payment of £30.
However rather foolishly got talked into a suite for £1900,i put a £150 deposit down via debit card and signed a credit agreement that would see me paying just under £50 per month.
Later that night i reflected on it and realised id over spent so immediatly emailed Scs. The sales woman rang me Saturday morning and said i was unable to cancel as i had signed the agreement............Since then ive had 2 conversations with ast. manager and manage and they confirmed this, with one added the only way to cancel would be to pay a fee of 20%.....£380 for a suite i wouldnt be getting!!
Can anyone please help with this as ive spent the last couple of nights in a sleepless panic!!
Thanx

You don't have the right to change your mind with a store sale. It's at the discretion of the store. Maybe ask them nicely?0

What about the finance agreement?
Is there no cooling off period after signing?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Possibly but surely the sale of the sofa and the supply of the finance agreement are two separate things. If the OP is able to cancel the finance agreement all that would mean is that he would owe SCS the full amount himself.I_know_my_ABC_and_my_CMYK wrote: »What about the finance agreement?

If you signed the finance on their premises you will have no cooling off period.0
